Life Coaching & Professional Counselling

We offer Life Coaching & professional counselling.  Smoking, eating or drinking too much?  Issues with drug, alcohol or substance misuse?  Poor diet and want to get healthy?  Relationship need improving?  Career and work changes? Whatever area of your life you want to address and improve our trained experts are here to help.

£20 per 1 hour session

Advice & Guidance

Rather than preparing you for work in a particular sector, this covers skills that are transferable across a broad range of them. From housing and finance to career guidance and helplines, many areas of industry incorporate advice and guidance into job roles.

Level 1 £1,000 - Level 2 £1,500 - Level 3 £1,800

Community Development

This  is a good choice for anyone interested in social change and making a difference. Community development is about helping local people develop the skills they need to influence and improve their quality of life. This includes removing the barriers that prevent people from participating in the issues that affect them.

Level 1 £1,000 - Level 2 £1,500 - Level 3 £1,800

 

Youth Work

This is about helping young people fulfil their potential through personal and social development. This is a question of being creative, being active, having fun, and providing young people with challenges and new experiences - all part of an informal education that helps young people develop their own voice and identity to influence and shape their communities and society as a whole.

Level 1 £1,000 - Level 2 £1,500 - Level 3 £1,800

 

Foundation Learning

 

We off a unique opportunity to individuals wishing to develop skills in youth & community work and in setting up a social enterprise (thats working for yourself!!).  We have a wide range of qualifications on offer to ensure that you have the right foundation to move onto higher qualifications in Youth, Community and Guidance work.

The National Apprenticeship Framework is funded through the goverment and eligabilty criteria applies.

 

Third Star is able to provide you with Apprenticeships in;

An NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a qualification which demonstrates a person's competence in a work situation and shows that they have the skills, knowledge and understanding that employers require.


Third Star will:

  • Register you with the awarding body (City and Guilds)
  • Help you acquire the necessary skills and knowledge, through workshops and one-to-one tuition
  • Ensure that you recieve the training you need from your employer
  • Allocate an personal Assessor/Tutor to you
  • Help you to compile your portfolio of evidence and complete work on time
  • Judge that your course work and work practice meets the requirements of the qualification
  • Support you in preparing for exams and assignments.

Third Star offers you:

  • A comprehensive induction to the programme.
  • A minimum of 5 contact hours per month with an Assessor/Tutor.
  • Workshops and workbooks that will cover what you need to know for the course.
  • Help you complete your portfolio and develop your career potential.
  • The option to study from home

You can study from home and access personal tutorial time either online or through home/employer visits or regular visits to our training and contact centres.  Learning is flexible and to suit your needs.
